Shadow Planet Transits and the Human Shadow

Vedic Astrology differs from the popular western sun-sign astrology in that it not only has more to offer, but also shadow planets, known as Ketu and Rahu. These shadow planets are significators of what we cannot see within, but which emerges sporadically, that which is called the shadow self. When shadow planets change signs, the shadow self is evoked.

A Christmas Full Moon

The final full moon of 2015 will rise on Christmas Day this year – the first time it has occurred at the same time as the holiday since 1977. NASA forecasts the two events will not coincide again until 2034. NASA said the full moon would also be the smallest since 2004. The astronomical event is called apogee and occurs when the moon is at the farthest reach of its orbit from the Earth, nearly 407,000 kilometres away.

We have shared – via guidance given from the Cosmic Hierarchy – that the Full Moon occasions are best days for meditations for world peace, and for sending positive energy out to those in need. We look to this occasion of Full Moon to consider the astrological indications of this full Moon at Christmas.

The Supermoon of September 27 – 28, 2015

The super full moon lunar eclipse occurred in the constellation of Pisces. Much has been said about this SuperMoon in parenthesis with the Tetrad, Wave X, the recent Equinox and the solar eclipse of September. Many speak of how the SuperMoon will herald destructive earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, severe storms and extreme tidal surges. While there is a potential for this to happen every time there’s a SuperMoon, typically within plus or minus three days of the exact alignment, some apocalyptic debunking is needed.

The return of the light: Uranus and the 5th Dimension

Since the end of the Thirteen Baktun cycle in the Mayan long count, December 21, 2012, the energies of the 4th Dimension have been raised and via the stargates, the energies of the 5th Dimension (and higher) have returned to Earth. Since the Fall of Atlantis, humanity fell out of the 5th Dimension, and the stargates, the web of light around the Earth were closed; extra dimensional energies were shut off, and humanity was left to recover in 3D reality.

The outer planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto ceased to transmit their gravitational effects to Earth and the light energies effects were not felt within the individual human. However, when these planets changed signs or nakshatras, some energies were pronounced on a global scale, for galactic energies form part of the whole, the kalapurusha (the body of space and time). In this article we look to the return of the 5th Dimensional light, and the effects of one outer planet, Uranus.

Astrology 19 Feb – 5 March 2015

In this fortnight we will see the beginnings of “Crowded House”, with many planets arriving in Pisces. It gets more crowded there during the first part of this year. Jupiter is the only planet outside the axis of Rahu and Ketu, and plays an important role in providing protection, balance and a calming influence. Mercury becomes a bit of an important focus as we look to the deeper influences of Rahu and Saturn. While Valentine’s Day has passed (it was miserable for many) this fortnight brings its challenges in patience, purity and perseverance. There are a number of occasions where we may rise to the challenges and build up our character bank.

Astrology, 4 – 18 February 2015

The full moon occurs in Ashlesha nakshatra – the nakshatra lord is Mercury – currently retrograde. Retrograde means “to do good“, and while the madding crowds say communication becomes difficult during during Mercury retrograde, how the planets deal with us can be modified … it is up to us how we use the planets; they can raise us up or pull us down, as the pundits tell. Modification of Mercury retrograde for you personally could come about easily as Mercury is retrograde in Capricorn until 12 February. Capricorn is a movable sign, so effects can be modified somewhat easily in a movable sign – by approaching Mercury with the following shakti mantra: Om Aim Bhum Budhaya Namaha. “Aim” is vachana shakti, the power of articulation, calling, guiding and teaching.
