The Challenges of Rahu

The Challenges of Rahu

Narrative of Rahu

The myth behind the shadow planet Rahu speaks of the demon Swarbhanu, who was beheaded after the churning of the Ocean of Milk, where-from the last gift that emerged was amrita, the nectar of immortality. The demons and the gods had agreed to cooperate and churn the ocean of milk in order to receive the precious gifts it possessed. They would take the gifts - but the demons engaged in subterfuge and obtained the last gift - the pot containing the nectar of immortality. The gods, outraged, called to Lord Vishnu for aid. The aid was given in the form of an enchantress who deceived the demons, all but Rahu, who took his place among the gods, was found out and subsequently beheaded. The head was known as Rahu, and later, the body was resuscitated and known as Ketu. In this way we have the story behind how eclipses come about with the action of the two non-luminary planets, Rahu and Ketu.

There is one signifcant aspect of Rahu as planet casting influence: Rahu's influence on the mind frequently surfaces as illusion, hallucination and over-use of imagination to form reality, where balance and common-sense would test what is imaged within against a wholesome, well-serving self-discipline. As the ego is outward-seizing in nature and seeks to grasp all that it sees (note the meaning of graha is to grasp) there are uncommon challenges for who are driven by the influence of Rahu. Rahu seeks to have, to possess or to dominate in social situations, depending on what house Rahu is in. Rahu's location the 12 bhavas (houses) determine the nature of the inner creations of the mind.

The inner creations of the mind, if not grounded in reality and self control and self-discipline, can drive people to seek, to quest, to possess, to perpetually repeat these patterns throughout their lives. They may be chasing delusions related to physical attachments to worldly objects. When we speak of delusions, we can consider those who have succumbed to extremes. In the mental asylum, there are many people with many kinds of delusions. There are people who are crazy about money; there are others who have obsessions regarding their health and sickness. There are others who are crazy about power and position. There are other who seek to dominate their social, workplace, or home environiments or seek adulation for their works and achievements in these fields. In all these perceived accomplishments or needs or wonton craziness, Rahu is seeking union with his separated self.

Rahu has been sundered from his other self and experiences separation from the Immortal Self. Having once tasted the nectar of immortality, Rahu engages the small self in activity, achievement, laud, praise, glory and honour which is a substitute for this lost Self. Rahu has a fundamdental lost sense of immortality, Oneness. Rahu madly wants to taste the nectar of immortality again as a whole, complete self. This is what drives the outward-seeking aspect of Rahu, ever questing for new territory and defending (or claiming to own) what is possessed (conquered) (assimilated) (learned) or internally imagined to be possessed (conquered) (assimilated) (learned). What will be the impact on Rahu in these times of increasing energies as the Earth returns to the 4th and 5th Dimensions?

These times of the Earth returning to the 4th and 5th Dimensional living (something lost since the Fall of Atlantis) are times of ascension of consciousness. More energy is available to human consciousness. How we use this energy with our thoughts and feelings will decide the kind of world we live in. The planets have a role in delivering this energy. The planets are luminaries, and reflect the light of the Sun. These new energies come to us via the our own Sun, so the planets are now reflecting new, different energies of a raised dimension. The planets also contribute to this return to the 4th and 5th Dimensions. Each planet has a gift. We must ask ourselves what is the role of this non-luminary planet Rahu in these times of rising energies? What will Rahu reveal these times of return to the higher 4th and 5th dimensional existences?

Points of Transformation:

Consider the matter of eclipses: The Moon eclipses the Sun, the Sun and Earth eclipse the Moon. What then, is the astrological cause of these eclipses? At the point when the moon's orbit crosses the ecliptic (the celestial equator) - at these points, eclipses occur, and they have astrological significance. The Lunar Nodes - Rahu (and Ketu) - show the times when the solar and lunar forces obstruct each other or cancel each other out. So they are sensitive points which can have quite an impact on the total field of planetary forces. They also show the point for short-circuits of solar and lunar energies. This Universe - and all Universes - are simply holograms of light; where the light is blocked, there is opportunity for transformation.

Eclipses are points of transformation; the two nodes - Rahu and Ketu - are non luminaries. Therefore, Rahu (and Ketu) are not points of delivery of the new energy coming from the Central Sun of all Universes (the Creative Source of All) but rather, points of transformation where inner (hidden) (dormant) capacity is made available to consciousness. Consciousness is a set of patterns. When something new is brought into consciousness, then we have expansion of the former ways of experiencing our inner consciousness. This is expansion is related to the inactive strands of DNA within the human.

One important element of the 4th and 5th Dimensions is the reactivation of so-called Junk DNA. For years science has recognized that we have two active physical strands of DNA. We also have a further ten energetic DNA strands which have been dormant within the Human Being for many centuries. These dormant strands of DNA have been discovered by scientists, who, not knowing the function of these strands, have identified them as 'junk' DNA. Our DNA is presently a 12-strand DNA chain, this will likely recover inactive strands within which shall bring new inner psychic capacity. There will be a development, an expansion of inner activity within the mind. This return to the energies of the 4th and 5th Dimensions also brings the gift of inner awareness of the Source of All Creation.

In this time of rising energies of the 4th and 5th Dimensions, and return of awareness of the connection to the inner divine (something Rahu once possessed), then there must be a consideration (the making of inner space—a form of sacrifice) given to an appropriate discipline in order to achieve this lofty goal in these chaotic times. Time moves faster, the energies flowing from the Central Sun of all Universes (the Creative Source of All) flow the Earth from our own Sun and are throttled, stepped down in measured doses through the stargates that surround the Earth. These stargates resemble an energy grid, a grid of light surrounding the Earth. This is called the Christ Consciousness Grid. The Christ Consciousness is also embodied within the human.

The key here is em-bodiment. We are all embodiments of the divine, called human, which comes from Hue+man, the race of man that is filled with the hue of light. It is this Hue, this light element within, which is receiving the new, raised dimensions of light which enable reactivation of so-called Junk DNA and recovery of the light being we truly are. We are light beings - from the Divine Light itself - having a human experience.

Rahu and the Fourth Dimension

The darkness of Kali Yuga (the age of Iron) is dissipating. Where Rahu once delivered debilitation and afflictions to the mind, the energy of the Fourth Dimension (the Golden Age) is arising and both reveals and delivers energy to be harnessed within for benefit, personal self transformation and spiritual advance.

As we shared in an earlier post, the black fan - the energy being generated by the darkness of Kali Yuga, is being dissipated, and the white fan - the energy of the 4th and 5th Dimensions, is accelerating and getting up to speed. So we may expect what was formerly called the afflictions of Rahu might become lesser, and the influence of Rahu on the mind may be transformed to positive effect by practice of self discipline and self awareness.
