November 2021: Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse

Partial eclipse
The Full Moon of November 2021 is followed by a partial lunar eclipse three minutes later. Regions seeing – at least, some parts of the eclipse – Much of Europe, Much of Asia, Australia, North/West Africa, North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic. This Full Moon and eclipse will take place in Taurus, in the nakshatra of Krittika. The deity of Krittika is Agni, the God of Fire.

The last lunar eclipse of 2021 will occur on November 18-19 and will be a partial one visible from North and South America, Australia, and parts of Europe and Asia. It will be the longest partial lunar eclipse since the 15th century which means it will have a very intense supercharged lunar effect which may be associated with high tides, intense emotions, erratic human behaviour, and important turning points in the world.

In the upcoming lunar eclipse, the Moon will be eclipsed by Rahu, its North Node, in the constellation of Taurus, where the Moon and Rahu are both exalted, which means a very powerful and mostly auspicious event. Taurus has to do with finances, resources, earning power, value systems, and priorities.

What is a partial lunar eclipse?

Unlike a total lunar eclipse — also known as a “blood moon” — only some of the full Moon is covered in shadow during a partial eclipse.

But as partial eclipses go, with up to 97.4 cent of the Moon’s face in shadow at the maximum point, this is almost as deep as you can get without being a total lunar eclipse.

Partial eclipse

This eclipse will occur in Krittika nakshatra – which can indicate some important endings and positive new beginnings. The Krittika eclipse emphasises uprooting and cutting away what is no longer needed in our lives. So, some will be taking a stand and making swift decisions and important changes around this time, and during the month before and after the eclipse.

Mars is aspecting this eclipse. This may bring some fire, application of heat and pressure to take action, or events may explode around some forcing action to be taken. Mercury is conjunct Mars in Libra, also indicating fleet and swift action, communications, messaging – perhaps giving of warning signs. Relationships are affected at this time and if warning bells go off inside your head, say “Thank you, Mercury”.

As Krittika is ruled by Agni, the Vedic fire god, fire ceremonies and yogic practices that work with the inner fire (kundalini) can be very useful for purification around the lunar eclipse. It’s a good time to give up bad habits, too. Krittika is associated with drum music which can be very helpful for healing and meditation during the eclipse period, as well.

This eclipse is taking place just one day before Jupiter leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius. While Jupiter was in Capricorn, Saturn was present in dignity and afforded cancellation of the debilitation of Jupiter. Right now, Jupiter is totally depleted of energy – it is the weakest in the Shabala at this time. The cusp of signs is a place we call sandi, the time of change or transition from one period of light to another – and as the planets do reflect both light and magnetic energy to us all wherever they are – Jupiter can’t do much at this time.

For those in the senior years, we look to the Navamsa, where the Moon is in the 1st house, Capricorn, and Sun is in Cancer, the Moon’s home. Here, Jupiter is in the 9th house, quite strong and aspecting Moon. We have a trikona, for Moon is in 1st, Saturn in 5th, and Jupiter in 9th. This is a dharma trikona (1,5,9) so quite strong, and bringing in its wake the fruits of following dharma: truth, right conduct, selfless love, peace and non-violence. This heralds a time of peace, for many, despite the goings-on in the world. The Soul force is the force that drives consciousness, awareness and the senses. However, the buddhi, the intellect, is nearest the Atma and derives over 80% of illumination from the soul.

Eclipses disturb nations more than individuals. However, in the birth chart, the eclipse points can significance particularly if there are planets in the vicinity of these points. Follow dharma, and will have nothing to fear. The world has just received the Glasgow Climate Pact, and while some are disappointed at the results, for the first time ever fossil fuels have been named and shamed in a United Nations Climate Change document. There are other good points – the methane treaty, the awareness of the plant-based treaty and gender equity in the process of climate change. Vulnerable people and nations have also been given assurances. Change takes time, and everything in human life is a choice. Many, many people of faith and determination, spirituality and silence, went to Glasgow and gave their good faith, their good prayers, their good meditations. This is dharma on the world stage, it shall not go to waste.

In the Navamsa, at the time of this Full Moon and eclipse, Mercury is the strongest planet: he is in his own sign – aspected by Mars, yes – however, Mercury is giving off vibrations of the 8th house, what we call the aruda of the 8th. The 8th house is the realm of hidden forces, discovery, transformation and upheaval. It is also a place of identity transformation, hidden treasure and mystery. At this time of full moon and eclipse, take time to be still within, and allow the divine self-giving to take place. Revelation is “you are given back to yourself from the hidden, unknown depths, and emerge with greater consciousness, greater self-awareness. Take time to allow this divine self-giving to take place within you.

The Time of Full Moon

Full Moons are times when strong and plentiful energy floods the Earth. This energy, directed by the Full Moon – may be taken and used for benefit. Hence, the Hierarchy offer us the choice to harness this time of strong energy for planetary benefit by doing group meditation and directing energy in the form of love, light or healing, wherever there is a need. There have been many places experiencing the pandemic on Earth in the past month. There has been fear, suffering, people locked in their homes or in enforced quarantine in other locations, the suffering and disconnect affects many. Minds are bound by rules, quarantine, flattening the curve, and disconnect from the larger communities and those whom they have love and affection for.

The Hierarchy have advised us that the times of the Full Moon are times when energy is magnified, and multiplied. Groups – or individuals – sitting in meditation with peace, harmony, goodwill towards all have a manifold affect on the energies surrounding our planet when they do this on the Full Moon day. If it is not possible to do so on the actual day, then, we have been told, the day before or the day after will also serve as days of excellence in sending out positive harmony, peace and helpful energies to all places on our Earth.

Meditating on light can raise the level of light within the individual. Meditating on light for our home, Planet Earth, can raise the level of light in places where this is needed. For LIGHT can be, as you know when you turn on a light in a room it has different voltages in different countries – in some countries it is brighter – sometimes it is darker. In a way, the Light in each individual on this Earth is the same. Sometimes it is brighter and sometimes it is darker. Meditation is always of help to others.

Guided Meditation

You may listen to this meditation from Cosmic Sai Baba:

We just see ourselves – we are all joined together – in one circle of light; and raising our consciousness, letting our eyes roll back in our heads a little, so that you imagine you are looking outside the atmosphere of Earth, into the Universe. Don’t force your eyes too much, just enough so that you feel you are looking outwards and up.

And we are joining the world of Light; the Universal Light; the Source of All Creation. And we ask the Angels to be with us, to assist us. They are always with us, but now we are connecting to them in a conscious way.

We feel the light coming down now – from the apex of a pyramid – going through the top of our head, filling our head with light, and our neck, and shoulders, and arms, and hands … and our chest, the back, our waist … and our stomach, and our buttocks, and our thighs. And the light coming further down to the knees, the shins and the calves, and to the ankles and the feet; the soles of the feet and the toes. And feel it swirling around, going out and then returning back to the world of light, so that we feel that we are sitting in a cosmic egg of light.

And keep seeing that movement – like a river – coming down from the world of light, down past our body, out through the feet, and back up to the world of light – forming an egg shape of light around us. We feel ease and peace … very light … very happy.

So we realise that it is this place – that we can connect to our soul consciousness – that is held by our Angelic self, the Angel that’s always with us, with everyone; through our soul. We are all part of God; we are all God-beings; we are all part of Creation.

So feel happy … and released from pain; and feel joy and upliftment; because we know this is our true self, this is who we really are. This is the consciousness that is within us … that is constantly assisting us – in some very small way – or rather strong way; sometimes with a sound, or a voice, or an image. And if it sounds like a voice, it may be a thought we think but it is actually coming from our soul consciousness.

Our soul consciousness is always for good, so it is the God consciousness that’s within us that is constantly trying to guide us in our lives, in a physical body. For without the soul there would be no life in the physical body (or not for very long). It does operate independently – but it is together that we walk … on this Earth … with Love of God with us always.

And sometimes we feel the consciousness advising us, not really realising if it comes from the soul consciousness. But we know it is something that doesn’t seem like a good idea. And so we re-think what way or what steps we should be taking in life. But then, if we ignore it, we look back and think, “I wished I had taken notice; I knew, I just knew, I had that feeling in me, that wasn’t a good decision.”

And sometimes a voice can be quite strong. And we know its not – if we really tune into it – it is not us – its not our own soul voice. It is coming from somebody else that’s in the ether and trying to cause mischief. And for this reason, we need to be aware of where the messages that we hear, or the thoughts that we hear, are coming from.

It is very simple really. The thoughts that come from the soul consciousness, are of God; they are of love; they never want to hurt anybody. They only want to assist, and uplift; to give and share the light of love from the Universe. Anything else … … does not belong. And so we can reject that. And it is very easy to sort out, if you feel happy, and contented and relaxed.

It is important that you spend time to relax … and sit … and meditate. And connect to the soul consciousness who we are now, and making it a habit. Maybe once a day … for a little time … until you feel uplifted and rested. It comes through the the top of your head and into your heart. And it is your heart that holds the feeling. It is the feeling that is most important … in all of your life … in all of your emotions … in all of your thoughts … and in all your actions … if you feel good about it … it is coming directly from the Source of All. It is your home. It is who you really are.

So be blessed and know you are always blessed. And feel happy and filled with joy … even though the road may be difficult at times. You know when you look back … if you are honest with yourself, you really have learned a lot from what was a very difficult time.

So be at peace,

be at peace,

be at peace
