Full Moon October – November 2020

Halloween Full Moon

For some, the Full Moon is on October 31, Halloween. For others, giving the International Date Line, the Full Moon is on November 1st. Only Just on November 1st, at 01:49am. There are planets in dignity, giving much of gifts, and much of calling for discipline in the month to come. It is – for some, a challenging time – and for many of us, a time of decision making.

Ever noticed that Halloween pictures always show a full Moon? Well, this year, October 31 brings a Halloween Blue Moon! How rare is a full Moon on Halloween? Let’s learn more about the mythical Moon on this rather mystical night!

The next Halloween full Moon occurs this year! We’ll see two full Moons this October: the first occurs on Thursday, October 1, and the second occurs on Saturday, October 31. Halloween’s full Moon will be extra special, since it will be the second of the month and, therefore, a “Blue Moon.”

Despite all the creative Halloween full Moon pictures, a full Moon occurring on Halloween is not a common occurrence and only happens every 18 to 19 years.

Halloween – also known as All Hallows’ Eve – always occurs on October 31; it’s only the day of the week that changes from year to year. All Hallows Eve is actually the night before All Saint’s Day, which is followed by All Souls Day. Prayers are said in churches for the Saints, and on the next day, prayers are said for the repose of the souls of the departed.

Some tell that the origin of Halloween itself can be traced back to Samhain, which was an ancient Celtic festival that was celebrated to mark the end of harvest time. It was also the end of their year and the beginning of the new year, so it was “in between” the two years. It’s said that the spirits of the dead wander around during this time in the moonlight. (This is not true; the dead who have not gone to [heaven] [Chandra loka] are actually wandering around on the astral 365 days per year. )

We leave Halloween there. It has become a children’s fun night, and perhaps, its redeeming element might be – in time – an allusion to the spirit realm and what departed spirits really do get up to.

In March of 2020, we told – among other things –

At the time of writing, globally, more than 95,000 people have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus disease, the vast majority in China, with 3,015 deaths in China and 267 deaths across the globe,

This is the situation today:

Coronavirus October 2020

The world has changed, and we have changed with it. Perhaps many of you will be subliminally aware that this time of Kali Yuga is passing by, and the Golden Age enters. All those who have passed, have passed with their soul contract intact: they chose to go at this time and return in the Golden Age, in the higher dimensions.

The November Full Moon presents us with

  • The Moon is in Aries, aided by Jupiter;
  • A retrograde Mars in Pisces;
  • Mercury “just out” of combustion with the Sun by a whisker!
  • a strong Mercury, retrograde, in Libra
  • A stronger Saturn in Capricorn
  • An exalted Mars in the Navamsha
  • Mars within the influence of Saturn, in the Navamsha
  • Jupiter and Saturn in Dignity

The Moon is in Aries, aided by Jupiter

The Moon in Aries may have us hankering for things, the way they were. It is a place of some stress, the nakshatra being Bharani, seeking to have us be detached from things as they were, and adapting to the new reality: discovering each moment as it is, and not hankering for Covid-normal, for Covid-normal does not exist. It is maya, illusion, created by the mind. Mars is the ruler of Aries, and while you might have some patriotic feelings about life at home, life without Covid-19, you also need strength to face matters as they are in the midst of quite a few challenges. As this Moon is aspected by Jupiter, we can have some help in making decisions about our path forward.

A retrograde Mars in Pisces
We have said before that Mars in Pisces can be overwhelmed by e-motions, energy set in motion. The negative emotions can manifest as physical illness, self-doubt, impatience, anxiety, like this. Aggression, frustration, anger are also possible. We have a situation where Mars has gone and moved to exaltation in the Navamsha, the 9th division of the birth chart. This is auspicious, yes, and there can be productive elements of this move to Capricorn in the Navamsha. There can be a time of a powerhouse of productivity, so long as we address personal discipline and the foundations, the basics. Goal directed energy what attends to personal self-discipline. Dharma, in as many words.

On the mundane side of things, there can be several negative events, violent events, explosive events, domineering and tyrannical attitudes may prevail with those in power. Speak truthfully, follow dharma, and this will be your path through this time. Dharmo rakshati rakshitaha.

Mercury “just out” of combustion with the Sun by a whisker!
During this past week, many people have complained to me of feeling listless, tired, unproductive and above all, not moved to do any work. Well, the reason you may have felt something like this is that Mercury has been combust the Sun in its retrograde movement, crossing right over the face of the Sun and making us all feeling burnt out, flat, depleted of energy. At the time of this Full Moon, planet Mercury escapes the orb of influence of this combustion by the Sun by just one minute! A mere whisker! The energy and motivation shall return; Saturn shall be there with his glance, his aspect, to aid you back into the performance of your proper task, with duty. Remember, work is worship, duty is God.

A strong Mercury, retrograde, in Libra
At the time of the Full Moon, Mercury is in Libra; it is in exchange of Lordship with Venus which may or may not present you with good results, see last month for commentary on this. Mercury is in Libra, also, in the Navamsha division of the birth chart. This does make Mercury stronger, much, much stronger. Mercury in Libra will give you balance over and above your desires. Your mind will be conscious of the choices you have, the inner voice about seeking balance will be stronger. For those of you who do not have an inner voice, external events and your relationships will have you seeking balance, fair exchange, and using the vocabulary of agreement constantly.

Mars within the influence of Saturn, in the Navamsha
We have something in Astrology called ‘orb of influence’, that is, when a planet approaches another and comes within a number of degrees, the stronger planet overshadows the weaker, and sometimes, controls the energy of the weaker planet. Now, we are not saying this about Saturn and Mars; the strophe, sparks fly upwards applies to the conjoining of these planets, and their influence on one another can be fairly equal at times. It all depends on whose house this happens in. As it is, it is happening in Capricorn, where Mars is exalted in the Navamsha, and Saturn is vargottama, very strong indeed. Saturn will seek lawful behaviour, that which conforms to and follows the boundaries of the set activity. No matter how you do feel at that time. You may feel agitated, depressed and have erratic energy, whereas Mars usually delivers with strength, vigour and a continuous drive with energy, energy, energy.

Be kind to yourself, choose to balance your energy and where you place your time, talents and resources. Pick your place, your time, your action, and do things methodically, do things as they should be done – and guess what? Saturn will lend a helping hand. (Very, very, rare!)

and now for some good news.

Jupiter and Saturn in Dignity

Saturn in Capricorn in dignity
As we mentioned earlier, Saturn is currently vargottama so giving strong results both in the birth chart and the Navamsha, the 9th division. Saturn will remain vargottama until 21 November. The transit of Saturn between 1° – 19° (in Capricorn) will give strong results as Saturn crosses planets in those degrees in Capricorn – especially if there are planets between these degrees in your birth chart. Saturn will move slowly until January. Where Saturn’s effects are felt as challenging, controlling and you feel deprivation of any kind, then the best way to appease Saturn is karma yoga (doing good deeds), nishkama karma (doing deeds and not seeking the results from same), sacrifices for community, donations to community, donate food, medical, clothing to poor, feeding the destitute. Leaving til seed out for the birds.

Our experience is that the Saturn transit is a time of patience, time of restraint and being cautious. Note that Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn. Saturn will cancel the debilitation of Jupiter. This event of Saturn/Jupiter both in dignity has not occurred for 60 years. Later on this year, the Solstice Day of 21 December will bring us what is called the Grand Conjunction. The Grand conjunction is at 6° of Capricorn.

Jupiter in Sagittarius, in dignity
Jupiter in Sagittarius will be in dignity, alone. Note that Ketu has transited to Scorpio. Jupiter will be vargottama from 30/10 – 19/11 – at this time, Jupiter will give stronger results. We can use the vargottama period to make good choices, do something positive for yourself. It is a time to make choices for personal, inner change, as Jupiter will give support. Make sure to give time aside between 30/10 – 19/11 to reflect on the path of your life, and if you are seeking change, then make good choices with the support of Jupiter while it is vargottama. This is a rare event, having both planets (Saturn, Jupiter) in their own signs, in dignity.

Now is time to think about what you want in life and how you are going to move forward for the next 60 years. Jupiter will be good in Capricorn, will give stronger results once it has passed Saturn. It is important to remember that planets transiting signs behave like the lord of that sign. So in Capricorn – up to Grand Conjunction – Jupiter will give results like Saturn, so Jupiter (acting like Saturn) transit is a time of patience, restraint, being cautious. Make this your meme up to the Grand Conjunction. Patience, restraint, caution in all things.

The Time of Full Moon

Full Moons are times when strong and plentiful energy floods the Earth. This energy, directed by the Full Moon – may be taken and used for benefit. Hence, the Hierarchy offer us the choice to harness this time of strong energy for planetary benefit by doing group meditation and directing energy in the form of love, light or healing, wherever there is a need. There have been many places experiencing the pandemic on Earth in the past month. There has been fear, suffering, people locked in their homes or in enforced quarantine in other locations, the suffering and disconnect affects many. Minds are bound by rules, quarantine, flattening the curve, and disconnect from the larger communities and those whom they have love and affection for.

The Hierarchy have advised us that the times of the Full Moon are times when energy is magnified, and multiplied. Groups – or individuals – sitting in meditation with peace, harmony, goodwill towards all have a manifold affect on the energies surrounding our planet when they do this on the Full Moon day. If it is not possible to do so on the actual day, then, we have been told, the day before or the day after will also serve as days of excellence in sending out positive harmony, peace and helpful energies to all places on our Earth.

Meditating on light can raise the level of light within the individual. Meditating on light for our home, Planet Earth, can raise the level of light in places where this is needed. For LIGHT can be, as you know when you turn on a light in a room it has different voltages in different countries – in some countries it is brighter – sometimes it is darker. In a way, the Light in each individual on this Earth is the same. Sometimes it is brighter and sometimes it is darker. Meditation is always of help to others.

Guided Meditation

You may listen to this meditation from Cosmic Sai Baba:

We just see ourselves – we are all joined together – in one circle of light; and raising our consciousness, letting our eyes roll back in our heads a little, so that you imagine you are looking outside the atmosphere of Earth, into the Universe. Don’t force your eyes too much, just enough so that you feel you are looking outwards and up.

And we are joining the world of Light; the Universal Light; the Source of All Creation. And we ask the Angels to be with us, to assist us. They are always with us, but now we are connecting to them in a conscious way.

We feel the light coming down now – from the apex of a pyramid – going through the top of our head, filling our head with light, and our neck, and shoulders, and arms, and hands … and our chest, the back, our waist … and our stomach, and our buttocks, and our thighs. And the light coming further down to the knees, the shins and the calves, and to the ankles and the feet; the soles of the feet and the toes. And feel it swirling around, going out and then returning back to the world of light, so that we feel that we are sitting in a cosmic egg of light.

And keep seeing that movement – like a river – coming down from the world of light, down past our body, out through the feet, and back up to the world of light – forming an egg shape of light around us. We feel ease and peace … very light … very happy.

So we realise that it is this place – that we can connect to our soul consciousness – that is held by our Angelic self, the Angel that’s always with us, with everyone; through our soul. We are all part of God; we are all God-beings; we are all part of Creation.

So feel happy … and released from pain; and feel joy and upliftment; because we know this is our true self, this is who we really are. This is the consciousness that is within us … that is constantly assisting us – in some very small way – or rather strong way; sometimes with a sound, or a voice, or an image. And if it sounds like a voice, it may be a thought we think but it is actually coming from our soul consciousness.

Our soul consciousness is always for good, so it is the God consciousness that’s within us that is constantly trying to guide us in our lives, in a physical body. For without the soul there would be no life in the physical body (or not for very long). It does operate independently – but it is together that we walk … on this Earth … with Love of God with us always.

And sometimes we feel the consciousness advising us, not really realising if it comes from the soul consciousness. But we know it is something that doesn’t seem like a good idea. And so we re-think what way or what steps we should be taking in life. But then, if we ignore it, we look back and think, “I wished I had taken notice; I knew, I just knew, I had that feeling in me, that wasn’t a good decision.”

And sometimes a voice can be quite strong. And we know its not – if we really tune into it – it is not us – its not our own soul voice. It is coming from somebody else that’s in the ether and trying to cause mischief. And for this reason, we need to be aware of where the messages that we hear, or the thoughts that we hear, are coming from.

It is very simple really. The thoughts that come from the soul consciousness, are of God; they are of love; they never want to hurt anybody. They only want to assist, and uplift; to give and share the light of love from the Universe. Anything else … … does not belong. And so we can reject that. And it is very easy to sort out, if you feel happy, and contented and relaxed.

It is important that you spend time to relax … and sit … and meditate. And connect to the soul consciousness who we are now, and making it a habit. Maybe once a day … for a little time … until you feel uplifted and rested. It comes through the the top of your head and into your heart. And it is your heart that holds the feeling. It is the feeling that is most important … in all of your life … in all of your emotions … in all of your thoughts … and in all your actions … if you feel good about it … it is coming directly from the Source of All. It is your home. It is who you really are.

So be blessed and know you are always blessed. And feel happy and filled with joy … even though the road may be difficult at times. You know when you look back … if you are honest with yourself, you really have learned a lot from what was a very difficult time.

So be at peace,

be at peace,

be at peace
