In the manner of John the Baptist, the Bab’s mission was to prepare humanity for the advent of Bahá’u’lláh, the Prophet-founder of the Bahá’í Faith. Through His teachings, the Bab ignited a spiritual revolution that would shake the foundations of society and challenge age-old norms and beliefs. The Martyrdom of the Bab is observed every year on 10 July.
